Before the earthquake, the site of SELEX Communications counted 149 employees mainly dedicated to research and development activities in the avionic field. Today, almost 120 people returned to work, distributed in the CN System (about 40 people that came back in July) and FIDA (80 people came back in November) areas. The other workers are at the moment in the SELEX Communications sites of Chieti, Pomezia and Latina.

The new temporary site has enabled the almost totality of the L'Aquila personnel to come back to work, waiting for the construction of a definite plant shared by SELEX Communications and Thales Alenia Space (Thales 67%, Finmeccanica 33%).
