17:32 GMT, February 9, 2010 The Nanjing Military Area Command (MAC) of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) recently held an on-spot meeting at an air defense brigade of the Nanjing MAC to popularize the brigade’s experience in carrying out systematic integration confrontation exercise based on informationization system.

Jin Laizhou, commander of the brigade, told the reporters that the construction of information platform and the blend of various combat elements had greatly promoted the troops’ systematic training level based on informationization system.

By centering on the realization of information blend, the brigade has the command posts at all levels linked with the information nodes of vigilance radar and combat vehicles and has the command posts at all levels linked with all the combat elements, so as to organize comprehensive subject training based on informationization system.

On this basis, the brigade organized such information elements as intelligence reconnaissance, command and firepower in integrated training and jointly conducted training on such subjects as rapid transmission of air situation and rapid reaction of firepower with air force troops.

According to Gao Shengming, political commissar of the brigade, the brigade has innovated 20-plus new fighting methods in recent years and such achievements as field command and training support system have won the first-class and second-class Military Scientific and Technological Progress Awards. The Headquarters of the General Staff of the PLA popularized the brigade’s training experience in complicated electromagnetic environment.
