Turbine Blade Repairs Save 57 Percent Off the Cost of Buying New Blades

06:52 GMT, September 3, 2010 Chromalloy announced today that it has been selected by the U.S. Air Force to provide repairs on TF33 first stage turbine engine blades in a new three-year contract valued at $1.2 million.

The remanufacture of the turbine blade repairs will be performed at Chromalloy’s Oklahoma City, Okla., facility, in support of Tinker Air Force Base at Oklahoma City.

Chromalloy currently provides repairs, parts and other services on other U.S. Air Force, Navy and Army contracts.
