Orbit International Receives Order from U.S. Procurement Agency for MK 119 Gun Computer System Cabinets Valued in Excess of $1,535,000

Anticipated Follow-on Orders to Complete Cruiser Conversion Program Could Exceed $12,400,000

23:49 GMT, May 21, 2008 HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. | Orbit International Corp. (NASDAQ:ORBT), an electronics manufacturer, systems integrator and software solution provider, announced that its Electronics Group has received a contract award for MK 119 Gun Computer System Cabinets (“GCSC”) from a U.S. Navy Procurement Agency. This latest award, valued in excess of $1,535,000 was received by the Company’s Integrated Combat Systems, Inc. (“ICS”) subsidiary located in Louisville, Kentucky, to support the U.S. Navy’s Cruiser Conversion Program. Work under this contract is scheduled to commence in the second quarter of 2008 and deliveries are expected in the third quarter of 2009. Total anticipated follow-on orders for the Cruiser Conversion Program are expected through 2014, with a potential total program value in excess of $12,400,000.

The MK 119 GCSC is an unmanned, environmentally-isolated shipboard enclosure that houses a standard 19 inch electronics rack containing processors, electronic devices, cooling and power conditioning equipment that performs processing, interfacing and data extraction functions designed to meet the most stringent U.S. Navy operational systems requirements. The MK 119 GCSC is also used on Aegis Cruisers and Destroyers, and is operationally integrated within the 5”/54 MK-45 Gun Mount (“GM”) systems.

Ken Ice, President and Chief Operating Officer of ICS, commented, “The Cruiser Conversion Program is a critical multi-year Navy program, designated and funded to upgrade and modernize the current fleet of Aegis Cruisers. ICS continues to provide an integral part of this modernization program. The capabilities incorporated within the Cruiser Conversion Program will provide the latest state-of-the-art computing technology, and will allow the Navy to plan for the introduction of future combat ships. The Cruiser Conversion Program will enhance the ship’s current relevance in the areas of air dominance, land attack and anti-submarine warfare, and will provide force protection in the littoral warfare mission.”

Dennis Sunshine, President and Chief Executive Officer of Orbit International Corp., commented, “The Cruiser Conversion Program is designed to extend the current fleet of Aegis Cruisers’ operational capabilities up through 35 years of service. The U.S. Navy has made it clear that a majority of the current fleet of Aegis Cruisers will undergo this conversion, in an effort to keep these ships combat-relevant until sufficient numbers of the next generation of CG(X) surface warships are designed and built to meet future national security requirements.”
